What about storing wool clothing? Be sure to store your wool clothing with cedar chips or moth balls to help protect them from moth damage.
How should I store my good clothing like suits, sport coats and dresses? For these items a wardrobe carton is the best choice allowing you to hang the items as if they were in your closet.
How should I store my mattress and box springs? Lay them down longways on their sides. Be sure to elevate them a bit. You can accomplish this with pallets or other boards.
Should I store my framed pictures and mirrors standing up or laying down? Your pictures and mirrors should be wrapped in cardboard and marked as “Fragile”. They should be stored standing straight up, never laying flat.
Can I completely stuff my storage space to the max? It is best to leave a little space between your items and the walls of the unit. This can help with ventilation and to help prevent some things from getting crushed.
